My Favourite Papers from SGF 2008! - Tuesday, April 29, 2008A brief scan of the paper schedules from SAS Global Forum 2008, threw up a gem of a paper by Josh Drukenbrod and David Mintz at the Environmental Protection Agency, in North Carolina, USA using a live SAS/Intrnet application to serve data and graphics to Google Earth. Wow, some folks have all the luck ... Hats off, guys. 'Pure dead brilliant' as we say in Scotland. Take a look at the paper from the link below. read more ...

What a good idea! SASCommunity.org - Wednesday, May 30, 2007SASCommunity.org was launched last month at the SAS Global Forum in Orlando. It's a wiki-based, community-led forum for all things SAS, this new site will surely become the entry point for all SAS knowledge. (a bit like SAS-l on steroids!) There are blogs, Consultant lists, papers and links to both SAS hosted stuff as well as non-SAS hosted sources of knowledge and much more. The content is a little light right now but given 6 months I reckon the SAS user community will wonder how we managed without it. Click the link to have a look, and most of all .... contribute!! read more ...

New Year's Resolution for 2006. - Tuesday, January 10, 2006 - Tuesday, January 10, 2006If you're a returning visitor you may have noticed that WebMiner hasn't been updated in a while, so here's the usual feeble excuses: - I've been really busy with day job and haven't been able to find the time to add to the site.
- I've been working with Oracle and Informatica and given that WebMiner traffic has been primarily SAS up until now, haven't had too much new to write about.
Either way, my resolution for the year is to ensure that I add something new to this site each week and to try to put together an email newsletter every quarter.
